Niche marketing and Internet Marketing niche are both forms of Internet marketing but the differences are that of apples and oranges. ‘Niche marketing’ means selling a specific product to a specific type of buyer. There are far less competitive niches than an Internet marketing niche. Most niche markets are more open to the latest marketing strategies, as well. Small niche markets are much easier for the new marketers to break into. A niche market allows you to promote your own niche product or that of a niche affiliate product.
There is a niche market for anything and everything you can imagine but it takes is a good idea and a good product that will appeal to certain people, some advertising and the desire to succeed to break into a niche market. Internet marketing niche, on the other hand, means that you will be promoting your own Internet marketing product. This is a very crowded field of endeavor and really difficult to break into. It’s a world filled with gurus and wise men who have been playing and winning the game for a long time. Internet marketing niche is built on demand, which means that if you have a product that can compete and if you have the willingness to play hard ball with the big boys then you can succeed at the Internet marketing niche game. Bear in mind that there are easier niche market nuts to crack.
INTERNET MARKETING NICHE
Internet marketing niche does not require a large financial investment to begin an online business. One doesn’t need to invest heavily in product development. This can simply begin by writing e-book and promoting it or obtaining a website and promoting products that are produced by others. Think of the people who promote products that are produced by others as the modern version of the old door-to-door salesman except instead of knocking on one door at a time they knock on the doors of millions of people at the same time by way of the Internet.
There is no need to incorporate any partner; a sole-proprietorship does the job nicely. One person working from one computer these days can accomplish the same things that once required many people working many hours to accomplish. The Internet isn’t called “The Information Super Highway” for nothing. A person can make a very good living selling nothing but information on it. The populations of every industrialized nation in the world have learned that if you want to know anything about anything, you get on a computer and ask the question.
It is understood that all information has to be paid for, so they are more than willing to do that. A person who has special knowledge of a subject is considered a ‘guru’ has a market for selling that information on the Internet. All that needs to be done is to set up a website, publish the information, advertise and sell the information. There is no inventory to maintain and no shipping or handling costs involved to deliver the product. The seller gets paid for delivering information to a person who wants that information; everybody gets what they wanted happily.
NICHE MARKETING TIPS
I have been an advertising executive and an academic for the past 10 years, Niche marketing seems obvious to me but it amazes me how few people are aware of this concept. Advertising and marketing dominate almost every aspect of our lives nowadays; but I think everyone would know almost every common definition of marketing. Unfortunately, they think marketing and advertising a pretty trivial topic which is not so. Knowing what niche marketing is, is crucial to knowing why our culture is the way it is today, from the shows we watch, to the movies we see, to the music we listen to and our day-to-day activities.
In knowing what niche marketing is, you don’t need marketing case studies, you only need to look around you. Look at high scholars for example, in a certain geographic location; they will all look much like each other. They will all fit into one of a couple or three different groups, defined by the music they listen to, the fashion styles they wear, and the books they read.
Understanding what niche marketing is, is important to your average consumer, but it is crucial to businesses. We live in such an individualistic society that no business can hope to market to everyone. This is why businesses have different brand names for different products.
If they did not know what niche marketing is; each would try to be the biggest and the best. Instead of marketing to a specific subgroup, they would try to market to everyone. Companies that do this make no one happy. None of their consumers will be very loyal, and they will leave at the first sign of something better coming around. Understanding what niche marketing is, is the only way to keep your customers on the scene.
